Comfrey natural salve. Handmade by the sisters of Presentation Sisterhood, Bungarby, Australia. Presentation Sisterhood is a female Orthodox monastery in the Snowy-Monaro district of New South Wales.

Ingredients: olive oil, comfrey and natural beeswax.

Therapeutic properties.

The first written record of comfrey was in the 1" century AD by the Greek physician Dioscorides. It is traditionally known as "knitbone' because it mends broken bones. It also has the ability to promote the healing of bruises, sprains and fractures. Comfrey encourages ligaments and bones to knit together firmly and if applied to a sprained ankle immediately, it significantly reduces the severity of the injury.

Skin remedy

Comfrey is used to treat acne and boils and to relieve psorisis. It is also valuable in the treatment of scars.
